I haven't painted in a long time, after eye surgery, I was given some clear vision again in one eye after being legally blind for 20 years, it took some time to adjust to the new vision!! this painting started out to be just another abstract painting like I've always done, but for the first time I was not happy with it!!, so i took a putty knife and scraped in rows downward to get all the paint off the canvas!!
then what I seen was amazing to me, only thing I didn't like was that I could see the canvas texture through the paint. but decided to leave it for a cool effect!! then looking at the painting for a long time, I decided to paint thick white lines through the painting as to look like a book shelf,
because to me i was seeing a big collection of books, Volumes!! I added crackle to the white paint to make it look like the shelves were aged over time, and to top it off I had to paint a planet as I mostly always do in my abstracts!!

MAGNIFICENT painting, PJ! The painting is pretty cool on its own...however, with that backstory, it is truly FABULOUS. I can’t WAIT. To see what follows in this new abstract on...scrape off method then a story follows!! You never cease to amaze me with your determination, creativity and ...third eye...for BEAUTY!
